My best-books-for-kids lists contain books that are most likely to universally appealing to kids. However, my own kids’ personal family favorites don’t always come from these authoritative guides. Rather than being carefully chosen, many of these books were haphazardly selected during one of our frequent library trips. I admit I probably influenced the outcome of these favorites to some degree (mainly by returning books that were driving me insane to the library). However, the books that made it onto these lists below are 100% endorsed by my own children.
